This is a great opportunity to share God's love in action - not only with those we serve, but also with others who serve alongside of us - so come along and invite your friends, coworkers and neighbors to join you!

As in past years, Open Door Church Mountain View folks are taking the lead on many local projects. (See the "Opportunities to Serve the Community" section of this blog for local project descriptions.)

Junior Get-away
March 11 - 13, 2011
Mount Hermon’s Redwood Camp
Cost: $196 (includes camp and transportation)

Junior Get-away is a fantastic time of friendship, activities and teaching for 4th and 5th graders. This weekend is a chance for kids to experience the beauty of God's creation, to make new friends, and to discover new things about God and His great love for us.

Our focus this year will be on teaching about how much Jesus loves us and wants a friendship with us. We will also learn about the wonderful adventure God has in store for us when we let Him be the "boss" of our lives and do His work. To help us relay this message we welcome guest speaker and musician, The Mr. J. Band.

MT Evening Edition
Tuesday, April 5, 6:30 p.m.
Fellowship Hall

Women of all life stages are invited to join us for a special evening of fellowship and encouragement, sponsored by Mothers Together.

Where Is God in the Craziness of Life? Have you ever wondered why life is so crazy and chaotic? Is it hard for you to get a handle on the busy-ness of day to day living and find a little peace or a moment of calm? And where exactly is God when everything seems to be turning upside down in your world? Does He even know what you are going through?

Our speaker, Susanna Foth Aughtmon, author of "My Bangs Look Good and Other Lies I Tell Myself: The Tired Supergirl's Search for Truth", will explore these questions using humor, awkward personal stories and the truth of God's Word to find the answers.

This evening is ideal for any woman (mother or not) who would enjoy an evening out with other gals.
