September 13, 2009 Sermon:
"Vision Weekend"
Food and Clothing Drive for the Salvation ArmyThe Service Outreach team would like to invite you to participate as we join First Presbyterian Church in collecting food and children's clothing for the Salvation Army. While we are all feeling the pinch of the economic downturn, the agencies which serve the neediest among us are trying to meet significantly higher demands with equally diminishing resources. You are invited to help by donating nonperishable food and/or children’s clothing at the ODCMV campus during the month of September. Please bring donations to the bin in Fellowship Hall located near the entrance. Questions? Contact Jennie Bader, jsbader@sbcglobal.net.
Small Groups this Fall
At ODCMV we desire our small groups to be communities where you belong in a safe environment, become more like Jesus, and bless others!
Come find your place at our Small Group Faire on September 13 and 20, where all will have the opportunity to sign up to participate in a small group.
Provide a place for others to belong! As we gear up for launch, we're looking for people who are open to leading, facilitating, or hosting a new small group. No seminary degree is required — just a commitment to be available, and a heart to watch God work. We will help with ideas, support, and training.
Leading a small group is a wonderful way to encourage others to grow in their relationships with one another and with God. And you are guaranteed to grow, as well. Small group sign-ups will begin in September. Contact Jane Sumner, 408.356.5649, JaneESumner@aol.com, if you are interested in leading a small group.
Mothers Together Mountain View Now Meeting! - Thursdays 9:30-11:30 a.m.
We are excited to be meeting in Fellowship Hall at ODCMV on Thursdays, 9:30–11:30 a.m. Mothers Together is a unique community. We come together to receive support, to learn and to grow. At Mothers Together, we believe deeply in the importance of relating to you as God's beloved daughter - the foundation of who you are. Each month, September through May, we will spend time together in small groups as well as in one large group in Fellowship Hall at Open Door Church Mountain View.

The Children's Program, which is supported by the church and through donations, welcomes children from 3 months through Kindergarten. Infants are welcome to stay with mom.
So we can continue to plan appropriately for your attendance and for childcare, please visit our online registration page to register you and your child(ren).
Our prayer is for Mothers Together to be hallowed ground - a place during the week where there are no barriers to receiving and feeling God's love and grace ... AND the love and grace from each other. Please come as you are - no matter what stage you're in. We look forward to welcoming you and to hearing how God is working in your life.
