Evening Edition
encouragement for women in all life stages
Tuesday, April 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
Fellowship Hall

Women in all life stages are invited to join us for a special evening of fellowship and encouragement, sponsored by Mothers Together.

Where is God in the Craziness of Life? Have you ever wondered why life is so crazy and chaotic? Is it hard for you to get a handle on the busy-ness of day to day living and find a little peace or a moment of calm? And where exactly is God when everything seems to be turning upside down in your world? Does He even know what you are going through?

Our speaker, Susanna Foth Aughtmon, author of "My Bangs Look Good and Other Lies I Tell Myself: The Tired Supergirl's Search for Truth", will explore these questions using humor, awkward personal stories and the truth of God's Word to find the answers.

This evening is ideal for any woman (mother or not) who would enjoy an evening out with other gals.  Register today!

Register for Compassion Weekend!
Event Dates: Saturday and Sunday, April 2 & 3
Register at mppc.org.
Many projects are filling quickly!

Join us for Compassion Weekend 2011 - the weekend when we forgo our normal worship services and join thousands of fellow ODCMV / MPPC church attendees as well as other folks from throughout the bay area to turn our hearts and hands outward as we serve our communities.

This is a great opportunity to share God's love in action - not only with those we serve, but also with others who serve alongside of us - so come along and invite your friends, coworkers and neighbors to join you!

As in past years, Open Door Church Mountain View folks are taking the lead on many local projects. (See the "Opportunities to Serve the Community" section of this blog for local project descriptions and updates.)

Note that registration for the AIDS Kit Build morning session is FULL.  Those interested in participating in this project are encouraged to register for the afternoon session, which runs from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Support Japan Relief Efforts

As you know, an 8.9 magnitude earthquake on Friday, March 11, caused severe damage in Japan and triggered a powerful tsunami as well as nuclear hazards.

Please join us in praying for the people affected by this disaster and for their safety and recovery efforts.

We have learned that MPPC's Members in Mission who were in Sendai, Japan, are safe.  We are in touch with our mission and ministry contacts in Japan and we are looking into how we can help.

To contribute to this effort, you can send a check to MPPC with "Japan" on the memo line.  Watch mppc.org/japan for updates.

This Month:

Elder Recommendations

If you know someone committed to Christ with the gifts of wisdom and discernment, please recommend them using the elder form or online at mppc.org.
