Parent's Night Out - A Night of Respite for Foster Parents
Saturday, June 5, 4:15-9:00 p.m.

On Saturday, June 5, we will partner with Help One Child, a local ministry to foster and foster-adopt families, to provide a fun evening for foster children so their parents can have a night of respite. This is wonderful way to make a difference for families who are dedicated to serving foster children.
Opportunities to volunteer include:

•    Set up of tables and chairs in Fellowship Hall
•    Registration check-in for parents and volunteers
•    Crafts with the children (project instructions and materials provided)
•    Playing games with the children (games provided)
•    Serving dinner to children and volunteers
•    Help with clean-up
Some volunteer positions only require an hour and half of time (such as set-up, registration, and clean-up).
For new volunteers, there is a one-hour training session on Tuesday, May 25 at ODCMV. To volunteer, please contact Bonnie Clark, bonnclark@yahoo.com.

ODCMV Photo Directory!

Ever have trouble keeping names and faces straight?  The ODCMV Photo Directory is coming to save the day!  Of course a photo directory requires photos, so we're partnering with Olan Mills to arrange free portrait sessions from late May through mid-June for everyone who wishes to participate - and we hope all of you will!

Registration for portrait sessions is open!  Select dates are available online at www.signup.olanmills.com.  (Use "Church Contract Number 50781" and/or our office phone number 650.330.7525 to sign in.)  Alternate dates will be available in the breezeway on Sunday mornings.  Contact Gerry Soderberg, Contact Gerry Soderberg, aesgms@comcast.net, 650.968.8276

Vacation Bible School
Monday-Friday, July 26-30, 2010, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 noon

Plans are being made for another great year of partnering with First Presbyterian Church in providing a fun week for children to learn about the boundless love of our wonderful God.  This year's theme will be:  "High Seas Expedition; Exploring the Mighty Love of God".

Mark your calendars and bring your kids!  Bring your neighbor's kids!  Register online: www.groupvbspro.com/vbs/ez/fpcmv!
Come and participate in making this fun week for kids a reality!  Whether you prefer to work behind the scenes or directly with the kids, we invite you to consider how you might invest some of your time in making sure this "next generation" knows just how much God loves them.  For more details on how you can give of your skills and heart, contact Angelyn Knab, aknab@mppc.org.
