Activities will include lively storytelling, songs, games, and other educational activities in a carnival atmosphere. For more information, please contact Trina Weller, kweller@sbcglobal.net.
Community Pregnancy Center
The Community Pregnancy Center (CPC) is a Christ-centered beacon of hope, help, and healing for mothers of all ages in need of counseling and prenatal care. For Compassion Weekend, volunteers will paint the exterior of the Community Pregnancy Center (CPC) in Mountain View. These restoration efforts will provide a much needed upgrade to their facility, helping CPC to continue to provide their valuable services to our community. For more information, please contact Erik Davenport, 7davenport@sbcglobal.net.
Jeremiah’s Promise
This ministry serves young women who have aged out of the foster care system. Jeremiah’s Promise provides housing and counseling as well as academic, financial, and spiritual guidance. As a result, the young women have a family environment, stability, and support to persevere through a difficult transition in their lives and are able to connect with the local, Christian community. The Compassion Weekend team will create an atmosphere of beauty through interior projects and gardening projects. Please join us in praying for the planning of this project. For more information, please contact Tom Baenziger, tombdot@aol.com.
Note: General sign-ups to participate in any of the church wide Compassion Weekend projects will begin toward the end of March/early April at mppc.org.
Help Job Seekers!
Want an easy way to help our job seekers? Sign up for MPPC’s Career Actions Network! Here's what one job seeker named Sundra had to say, “I can truly say this service is a blessing for me and a lot of others. I forward all of your job leads to a distribution list of friends and family, who in turn share them with others who are job searching. Praise God that several people secured interviews and a few have actually been hired. By providing a service that is motivating, lives are being changed and spirits lifted.” Contact Al Hulvey, ahulvey@CareerActions.org.
Join with the MPPC Men’s Bible Study in sharing God’s love with US Marines serving in Afghanistan! The troops of the 4th LAR Unit, USMC are serving in a rocky, dry, dusty, remote place where living conditions are difficult and fresh food is scarce. Let them know that they are not forgotten and are very much appreciated by preparing and sending an Easter Care Package!

Needed by Sunday, March 28
On Friday, April 2, our Middle School Group will be serving Beyond the Bell, an after school care program for low income kids at Castro Elementary School. We will be putting on an Easter Egg hunt for the kids there. While many of the eggs will be filled with candy, we will also be giving away books and other simple things that the kids in this program very much need. You are invited to support our Middle School Group in this outreach by donating:
Bless Someone with Flowers on Easter!
In celebration of our Lord’s resurrection and the new life His sacrifice made possible for us, we will be decorating our worship space with potted flower arrangements. After the 10:30 a.m. service, these potted arrangements will be available on a first-come-first-served basis for anyone who would like to bless a person in need of cheer. Do you know of a shut-in or perhaps someone in an assisted care facility or hospital? Please consider delivering an arrangement on behalf of our church to brighten that person’s day. Questions? Contact Jane Liddle, jliddle@mppc.org.
